In Home, Perspective, Top 5, Top 5, Top 5

With so much good music dropping in June, it’s easy to miss some of the best so we’ve complied a list of the best songs from the past month. Let’s get it, in no particular order.

Montell2099 x 21 Savage - Hunnid On The Drop

Montell2099 has dropped a ethereal tune in collaboration with Atlanta-based rapper 21 Savage. The tune was produced in Los Angeles for Red Bull Sound Select and it bangs.

Charlotte Dos Santos - Cleo

Toro y Moi - Girl Like You

Vince Staples - Yeah Right ft. Kendrick Lamar and Sophie

Compton and Long Beach join forces on “Yeah Right” which is definitely one of the highlights  of Vince Staples’ ‘Big Fish Theory (of which there are many).

Calvin Harris - Cash Out (ft. PARTYNEXTDOOR, Schoolboy Q and DRAM)

Cousin Stizz - All Star

Boston’s big dog Coustin Stizz is gearing up to drop his upcoming project One Night Only later this year. In the interim we’ve been treated to “All Star,” which is produced by Tee-WaTT and M.Ali and bounces throughout.

H.E.R - (the whole of H.E.R Volume 2), you must LISTEN

Vince Staples - 745

Choker - El Dorado

“El Dorado” isn’t ever going to be a radio banger, but like Frank Ocean’s “Nights” or Animal Collective’s “My Girls,” it thoughtfully and unconventionally ties together two unique beautiful pieces in the context of something bigger. Go and listen to PEAK.

Jay Z - 4.44

Metro Boomin - No Complaints ft. Drake and Offset

Producer Metro Boomin teams with his What a Time to Be Alive collaborator Drake and Migos’ Offset on a new track titled “No Complaints.” The track premiered Friday 23 June as part of Drake’s OVO Sound radio show on Beats 1.

Tyler The Creator - 911/Mr. Lonely

This is my favourite version of Tyler, jazzy infused hooks and melodic flows. This tracks features additional vocals from Steve Lacy, Schoolboy Q, (possibly Frank Ocean) and Anna of the North.

Drake - Signs

Louis Vuitton have absolutely smashed marketing this by collaborating with two of the most influential contemporary figures, Drake and clothing brand Supreme. This song is good, stays at a constant tempo with no real peak or trough, Drake collected the ps for this no doubt.

2 Chainz - Burglar Bars

DJ Khaled - Wild Thoughts ft. Rihanna and Bryson Tiller

This one speaks for itself, the video though – JEEZ.

Aminé - Turf

On “Turf”, Aminé showcases his versatile with this almost acapella like ballad.  The single is completed with a surprise guest appearance from R&B legend Charlie Wilson.

DRAM - The Uber Song

Hip-hop’s reigning court jester D.R.A.M. is back with a new track. “The Uber Song”, produced by MeLo-X, was originally created for Spotify’s “Traffic Jams” video series, which blindly pairs up a rapper and a producer to create a track while trapped in L.A. traffic.

Young Thug - Daddy's Birthday
